Realme Phones with Wireless Charging

Realme phones with wireless charging are surprisingly rare. While the company is well known for its incredibly fast wired charging technology, only a handful of Realme smartphones support wireless charging.

Realme has mostly focused on delivering bigger batteries, faster wired charging, and competitive prices instead of adding wireless charging to every flagship. If you’re specifically looking for Realme phones with wireless charging, here are the models that offer the feature.

Which Realme phones have wireless charging?

At the time of writing, the Realme GT5 Pro and Realme GT 8 Pro are the only widely released commercial Realme smartphones with built in wireless charging.

Realme has also showcased its MagDart wireless charging technology through the Realme Flash concept phone and a MagDart case for the original Realme GT 5G, although these are not standard commercial phones with built in wireless charging.

Realme GT 8 Pro

The Realme GT 8 Pro is one of the few Realme smartphones with built in wireless charging. It combines flagship hardware with a large battery and fast charging options, making it one of the brand’s most complete smartphones.

Key specifications

  • 50W wireless charging
  • 120W wired charging
  • 5W reverse wireless charging
  • 7000mAh Titan Battery
  • Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor

The GT 8 Pro gives users the flexibility to charge with or without a cable. It is also one of the few flagship phones that combines a 7000mAh battery with fast wireless charging.

Realme GT5 Pro

The Realme GT5 Pro was the first commercial Realme smartphone to feature built in wireless charging.

Key specifications

  • 50W wireless charging
  • 100W SUPERVOOC wired charging
  • 10W reverse wireless charging
  • 5400mAh battery
  • Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor

The GT5 Pro marked an important step for the brand by introducing wireless charging while keeping the fast wired charging Realme is known for.

What is Realme MagDart?

Before launching phones with built in wireless charging, Realme introduced MagDart, its magnetic wireless charging technology.

The company unveiled the Realme Flash, a concept smartphone designed to demonstrate 50W magnetic wireless charging. Although it never became a commercial product, it gave an early look at Realme’s approach to magnetic charging.

Realme also released a MagDart charging case for the original Realme GT 5G. The accessory connected through the USB C port and added magnetic wireless charging support, allowing the phone to work with compatible MagDart chargers.

Realme Phones with Wireless Charging

Why are there so few Realme phones with wireless charging?

Realme has consistently prioritized very fast wired charging, with several flagship models supporting charging speeds of 100W or more.

Adding wireless charging hardware increases production costs and takes up additional space inside the phone. Instead, Realme has focused on delivering larger batteries and some of the fastest wired charging speeds available on smartphones. For many users, plugging in a phone for a few minutes is still quicker than using a wireless charger.

Many well known Realme smartphones do not include built in wireless charging, including:

  • Realme GT 7 Pro
  • Realme GT3
  • Realme GT 2 Pro
  • Realme 12 Pro+
  • Realme 13 Pro+
  • Realme 14 Pro+

These devices support fast wired charging but do not have wireless charging.

Do all wireless chargers work with Realme phones?

The Realme GT5 Pro and Realme GT 8 Pro support Qi compatible wireless charging. However, the maximum 50W wireless charging speed is only available when using a compatible AirVOOC or SUPERVOOC wireless charger. Standard Qi wireless chargers will still charge the phones, but at lower speeds.

Should you buy a Realme phone with wireless charging?

If wireless charging is an important feature for you, the Realme GT 8 Pro is the best choice. It combines flagship performance, a massive 7000mAh battery, and fast 50W wireless charging.

The Realme GT5 Pro is also an excellent option if you can still find it, offering the same 50W wireless charging alongside premium hardware. If wireless charging is not a priority, Realme offers many other smartphones with excellent battery life and extremely fast wired charging. That is why only a small number of Realme models currently include built in wireless charging.
