Glo MiFi Data Plans: Prices, Activation Codes, and Validity

The Glo MiFi Data Plan lineup covers everyday internet access, high volume usage, and longer validity periods. Glo offers standard monthly bundles alongside larger Mega packages, giving MiFi users several options for browsing, streaming, remote work, downloads, and multiple connected devices. The network also has unlimited broadband packages through its 4G Router.

Data allowance is only part of the cost. The price of the MiFi, welcome data, bundle validity, activation method, and Fair Usage Policy can all affect how much value you get from the service.

This guide covers Glo MiFi prices, data plans, activation codes, validity periods, admin login details, and unlimited broadband options.

Glo MiFi Price

Glo currently sells a 4G LTE MiFi through its online store for ₦12,000, reduced from ₦15,000. The device supports up to 10 connected Wi Fi devices and comes with 16GB of free data under the current store offer.

Glo also runs a separate MiFi offer for eligible new customers. A newly activated Glo MiFi can come with 30GB of free data valid for 30 days. Customers who subsequently purchase a data plan worth ₦5,000 or more can also receive a 5GB bonus for six months. The exact welcome offer can depend on the promotion running when the device is purchased, so it is worth checking the current Glo offer before paying for a MiFi.

The official Glo MiFi can connect phones, laptops, tablets, smart TVs, game consoles, and other Wi Fi devices. Up to 10 devices can be connected at the same time.

Glo MiFi 5G

Glo’s current branded MiFi offer is based on 4G LTE. The company’s official store sells a 4G LTE MiFi, while its unlimited broadband service is built around a 4G Router. This means the standard Glo MiFi should not be described as a 5G device. Anyone looking for a portable 5G connection must consider alternative networks, as Glo does not currently offer 5G coverage.

For home broadband use, Glo’s router is the relevant product. Its unlimited router plans provide a separate option for customers who need a larger or ongoing internet connection.

Glo MiFi Data Plans

Glo allows its regular data bundles to be used on compatible modems, routers, and mobile routers. This gives MiFi users access to the network’s standard monthly data options as well as its larger Mega bundles.

Several of these bundles include night data that can be used between 12am and 5am.

Glo’s larger Mega bundles provide considerably more data for people with heavier usage:

  • 165GB for ₦30,000, valid for 30 days.
  • 220GB for ₦40,000, valid for 30 days.

Glo MiFi Admin Login

The admin panel is where you manage the MiFi’s wireless settings. It gives you access to options such as the Wi Fi name, password, connected devices, and network information.

Connect your phone or computer to the Glo MiFi first, then open a browser and enter the device’s admin address. Many Huawei based MiFi models use 192.168.8.1, although the address can differ between devices. The login details also depend on the MiFi model. Check the label on the device or the manual supplied with it for the correct username and password.

After logging in, you can change the Wi Fi name, update the password, view connected devices, and manage the other settings supported by your particular device. Changing the default Wi Fi password after setting up the MiFi is advisable. It reduces the chance of someone else gaining access to your wireless network.

Glo MiFi Unlimited Data Plan

Glo now has unlimited broadband plans, although they are offered through the Glo Router rather than the standard pocket MiFi.

The current unlimited router plans include:

  • ₦19,999 for 30 days, with a 110GB Fair Usage Policy threshold.
  • ₦29,999 for 30 days, with a 150GB Fair Usage Policy threshold.
  • ₦49,999 for 60 days, with a 150GB Fair Usage Policy threshold.
  • ₦74,999 for 90 days, with a 150GB Fair Usage Policy threshold.
  • ₦149,999 for 180 days, with a 150GB Fair Usage Policy threshold.

Once the threshold is exhausted, the connection continues at 2Mbps for the remaining validity period. Glo also has an introductory offer for new 4G Router customers. A new Glo 4G Router purchased with a new Glo SIM can come with 14 days of free unlimited data, subject to a 100GB Fair Usage Policy threshold.

The distinction between the MiFi and Router offers is important. A regular Glo MiFi can use the network’s volume based data bundles, including the larger Mega options. The unlimited packages are tied to the Glo Router and come with Fair Usage Policy conditions.

For light browsing and everyday internet use, the smaller monthly bundles provide a lower entry cost. Users who stream frequently or connect several devices can move into the larger Mega plans, while the Glo Router’s unlimited packages provide another option for sustained home or office use. Checking Glo’s current bundle menu before subscribing is advisable, since prices, bonuses, and promotional offers can change.
